About Us

The London Coalition for Young Children with Special Needs is a group of educators, therapists and evaluators serving young children, birth-kindergarten, that have special education needs.  We work together to promote quality interventions that help support a child’s development. Mission Statement

The London Coalition for Young Children with Special Needs is a collaboration of public and private agencies who provide special education and other related services to children with special needs (ages birth to five years) and their families. Established in 2020, the Coalition supports quality programming through regular communication about existing resources, networking, the implementation and coordination of effective systems of service, and the continued development of skilled staff. Specifically, the Coaltion for Young Children with Special Needs:


  • Shares information regarding community needs and resources;
  • Promotes trainings to professionals, paraprofessionals and parents in a variety of formats to enhance the quality of services in our region;
  • Monitors the regulations that impact on service delivery to young children and their families;
  • Participates in the development of procedures that impact on service delivery to young children and their families;
  • Collaborates as programs and with municipalities and state agencies to deliver effective and innovative approaches to meet the needs in our community;
  • Networks with other community groups who also serve young children and their families to enhance inclusion and quality services for all;
  • Represents the cause for young children with special needs and their families with the public and appointed and elected officials; and
  • Shares information on current issues on early childhood development, assessment, and intervention
