The CNY Regional Interagency Technical Assistance Team & The Coalition for Young Children with Special Needs invite you to
“Trauma Informed Approaches with Youth, Families, and Communities”
presented by Cathy Cave on June 27, 2018

This session will help you to understand trauma and its impact on individuals, families and communities as well as offer specific strategies that support trauma informed approaches. You will have the opportunity to consider sources of individual, family and community hope, strength and resilience, and to develop plans to use the training materials in your networks.

Cathy Cave is the Founding Partner of Inspired Vision, LLC, Co-Director of SAMHSA’s Program to Achieve Wellness and Senior Training Consultant with the National Center for Domestic Violence, Trauma and Mental Health.  Cathy has over 30 years experience as an administrator, facilitator and consultant and provides technical assistance on trauma, cultural competence, wellness, and peer support through the National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma and Mental Health; the Mental Health Empowerment Project; and the National Center on Trauma Informed Care.

The Central New York Regional Interagency Technical Assistance Team supports collaborative cross systems work at the local level and is comprised of regional state agency representatives, family and youth partners, and advocacy organizations.   This training is provided with funding made available through the NYS Council on Children and Families with space provided free of charge by Onondaga Community College.

Coalition for Young Children with Special Needs

The London Coalition for Young Children with Special Needs is a group of educators, therapist, and educators serving young children, birth-kindergarten, that have special education needs.  We work together to promote quality interventions that help support a child’s development.
